As the oldest and most established Barristers' chambers in Northampton, we are committed to delivering standards of excellence in all areas of our organisation. Overseen by Head of Chambers, Miss Maria Savvides, we operate from 10 Spencer Parade in Northampton and practise both locally and across the Midlands, London and the South East.
Northampton Chambers has a strong tradition of recruiting Junior Tenants from its pupils. We take our responsibilities towards pupils very seriously as we believe that pupillage is a critical stage in any career at the Bar. We recruit a minimum of one and up to two pupils per year. Starting dates for pupillage are staggered, 1st April and 1st October, to ensure that there is a first and second six pupil in chambers at all times. The content of pupillage is predominantly family work, although pupils can also expect to see other general civil work during their time with us.
Applicants should show an interest in the practice areas covered by chambers, have strong intellectual abilities, good communication skills and an ability to work hard under pressure. A good personality also helps.
