Dere Street Barristers offers two 12 month common law pupillages in 2020.

An award of £12,500 is given for the first six months and guaranteed receipts of £12,500 in the second six months. This guarantee operates on a month by month basis, so that in any single month where gross receipts are less than £2,083.34 the balance is made up by Chambers. There is no “clawback” if receipts in other months exceed £2,083.34

Further, Chambers will pay the costs of attending compulsory courses as required by the BSB and those additional courses that Chambers wishes pupils to attend.

Pupils will be expected to work from our premises both in Newcastle and York.
