St Ives Chambers is a successful common law set situated in the heart of Birmingham.
Chambers is well established on Circuit as one of the leading sets with expertise in Family, Civil and Criminal law. Our strength lies in Chambers’ commitment to providing pupils with targeted, clear, well-structured training in both written and oral advocacy that equips them with the skills to build a strong and successful practice in tenancy.
We have 74 tenants and 13 Door Tenants (nine of whom are in silk). Chambers has two Family law silks and two Criminal Law silks, all of whom appear in some of the most significant cases in their area.
Our members practice across a variety of fields within Family, Civil and Criminal law and many of them sit in a part-time capacity in the High Court, as Recorders or as Deputy District Judges.
In the last three years we have offered tenancy to eight pupils upon completion of their first and second six.
Chambers is offering three mixed common law pupillages to commence in October 2019.
