Guernica 37 International Justice Chambers - 12 months - October 2021
Guernica 37 International Justice Chambers is a new Chambers, having been set up 4 years ago as a specialist group.
As we are new, we are therefore small, however, this does not affect the quality or weight of the work being undertaken, with Guernica members being at the forefront of some of the most important developments in international law and accountability over recent years.
As much as pupils will be involved in all cases across the spectrum of work being undertaken by Guernica members, junior members are also expected, with support, to undertake a mixed domestic practice as well, so as to develop written and oral advocacy skills at the start of their career.
We are looking for 1 candidate to commence in October 2021 and a further candidate to commence in October 2022.
Those candidates should be highlight motivated, with a strong work ethic, and have accountability for victims as being one of their central motivators.
You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have the necessary intellectual and analytical skills to be able to process and advise on complex and often novel legal issues across a variety of practice areas, and across a number of different jurisdictions.
Please visit our website for further examples of some of the work being undertaken by Chambers members both here in the UK, and within other jurisdictions.
To apply for pupillage, please send a copy of your CV, a written cover letter detailing, in no more that 500 words “What is accountability”, by email, to clerks@guernica37.com
