St Ives Chambers is a successful common law set situated in the heart of Birmingham. We have continued to recruit pupils and tenants throughout 2020.
Chambers is well established on the Midland Circuit as a leading set with expertise in Criminal, Civil and Family Law. We have a strong reputation in ADR and mediation.
Chambers is committed to providing pupils with a thorough and well-structured training programme which equips them with the necessary skills in both oral and written advocacy to enable them to build a strong and successful practice.
We have 78 tenants, 3 of whom are silks, as well as 15 door tenants. In total Chambers has 6 Family Law silks and 3 Criminal Law silks, all of whom appear in some of the most significant cases in their field of expertise.
Our members practise across a variety of areas within Family, Civil and Criminal Law. Many of them sit in a part-time capacity as Deputy High Court Judges, Recorders or Deputy District Judges.
Chambers is offering two mixed common law pupillages and one dedicated criminal pupillage whose sole intention is to become a Criminal Law practitioner. Candidates applying for one of the two mixed common law tenancies will undertake criminal work. All three pupillages will commence in October 2021.
Applications will open in Spring 2021. Details of how to apply for pupillage at St Ives Chambers can be found on our website www.stiveschambers.co.uk Enquiries should be made directly to Chambers on 0121 236 0863.
