Central Chambers invites applications for 1 pupillage commencing in October 2021.
Central Chambers is well-established in the heart of Manchester city centre; we are a mixed Criminal and Civil set.
The pupillage will be a common law pupillage with a focus on family and crime. The successful applicant will gain experience in all areas including crime, family, civil and immigration. Following completion of their first six the applicant will continue a mixed practice, focussing primarily on family and crime, however, there would scope to engage in immigration work as well.
Applicants selected will be invited for interview.
The Interview process will consist of two rounds an initial short interview and, for those successful, a second longer interview which will include an oral advocacy exercise and a written exercise to assess potential.
Interview rounds are to be held during June and early July – we anticipate the successful candidate will receive their offer before the end of July. We will try to let those who are selected know as soon as possible.
The pupillage will be with a view to tenancy.
Please ensure you complete the E&D monitoring form and submit it with your application, it can be found at http://www.centralchambers.co.uk/pupillage-at-central-chambers/
Please send a Covering letter and CV to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The closing date for applications is 11.00pm on 4 June 2021.
