DWF Advocacy Ltd is an SRA regulated entity and a pupillage provider regulated by the BSB.

We are recruiting up to two individuals to commence pupillage in September 2022. We hope to recruit one commercial pupil to be based in our London office (20 Fenchurch Street, London, EC3M 3AG) and one civil pupil (predominantly personal injury) to be based in our Leeds office (Bridgewater Place, 1 Water Ln, Leeds, LS11 5DY). DWF Advocacy is able to accommodate some flexibility in the home office and practice area of successful candidates, depending on candidate, availability of supervision and business preference.

This is a fantastic opportunity to train at a global legal business. DWF Advocacy Ltd operates much like an in-house set of chambers. Our barristers and advocates offer specialist advocacy and advisory services to colleagues within DWF Group as well as external clients. Our accredited pupil supervisors, themselves externally trained, have set up a comprehensive pupillage experience with extensive training and shadowing– full details of our pupillage policy can be found at

Whilst not guaranteed, DWF Advocacy recruits pupils with the intention of retaining them as an employed Barrister following completion of pupillage. Pupils can expect remuneration of £31,500 pa during the first six and £35,000 pa during the second six, paid monthly in equal instalments. Reasonable travel expenses will also be reimbursed. In addition, where appropriate, London weighting will be applied. This is in addition to the ability to make use of DWFs fantastic legal library and resources and enjoy a range of benefits such as IT equipment, pension contributions, and private health insurance.
